How does membership work?

IMPORTANT: Before you sign up as a member, you must have completed our introductory course, or have been in touch with us if you previously practiced HEMA elsewhere.

When you sign up to become a member, you will be billed £50 and a recurring subscription will be set up which will automatically bill you £50 every calendar month. This membership allows you to attend all of our regular sessions on Wednesdays and Thursdays at no additional charge, among various other perks.

Regular Attendence Reward!

That’s right - if you attend regularly, you get an additional reward. If you attend at least 6 sessions in a calendar month, at the end of that month you will receive a £10 refund on your subscription for that month.

One month off

We understand that of course people go on long holidays, move house or otherwise need time off. Once per calendar year, you may ask us to pause your subscription for 1 month. You are still a member and will get advanced notice of events etc. but you will not pay that month, and you may not attend any sessoins that month. This is not a month of free lessons, it’s a month to take a break and not have to worry about payments.

Cancellation

You can cancel your subscription at any time, either via your account here or by contacting us. You can still attend sessions up until when your next payment would have been. If you cancel your account, and want to rejoin within 12 months of your cancellation, you will be charged an additional £50. Exceptions may be made for this depending on the reason your cancelling (ie Medical reasons, temporary work placements etc.) but this must be discussed with us before cancelling.
