If you want to help head judge at the event, firstly we thank you very much!

In judging at the open, you will be assigned two 1 hour slots in a row to head judge. If you’re competing we will ensure you have and hour break between judging and competing, so you have plenty of time to get ready.

In return for judging we will give you a discount code for £25 off booking for the open - essentially meaning a free entry, and you will be given early access to booking.

If you wish to help out and judge more than 1 shift, you’re more than welcome to and you’ll recieve proportionate discounts.

You may compete and judge in the same competition (scheduling allowing), and unless you tell us otherwise we will prioritise your ability to compete.

If you are looking to head judge, but not compte, we will simply pay you £25 per shift on the day.

All judges, regardless of whether they are competing, are free to use the free space in the hall to spar with other attendees when not fulfilling their duties.

We ask that judges have experience in head judging. If you are not selected to head judge, please do not take the decision personally - at the end of the day it’s almost certainly an issue of scheculing.
