PLEASE NOTE: YOU MUST BE 18+ TO TRAIN WITH US
Join us for 5 weeks in our introductory course, held from 19:00 - 21:00, in the Main Hall at Partick Burgh Halls.
The first 4 sessions will be on Wednesdays (19/08, 26/08, 02/09, 09/09)
The final session will be on Thursday 17th September
During the course you will learn the fundamentals of historic swordfighting, such as body mechanics and how to train safely. You will also get the basics of our two focuses, German Longsword and Scottish Broadsword.
In the final week you will be introduced to sparring, finalising the groundwork for your continued journey into HEMA.
Throughout the course all the equipment you need will be provided. You just need to turn up with appropiate sports wear and a water bottle.
At the end of the course, if we think you'll be a good fit for the club we’ll invite you to become a full member. You ought to attend every lesson in the course, if you miss a lesson for some unavoidable reason we can discuss catcing you up.
